His Arrest

Jesus Prays for
Himself
Jesus spoke these
words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come.
Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him
authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You
have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true
God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have
glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work
which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father,
glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory
which I had with You before the world was. John 17:1-5
1.
Before His coming to the world, Jesus was God
Almighty, the same and one with God Almighty, for it pleased God to make
Himself three, the Holy Trinity.
2.
The Holy Trinity is God the Almighty Father, God the
Almighty Love (Jesus Christ) and God the Almighty Presence (the Holy Spirit).
3.
It is the same God in triple forms, just as water has
the trinity of being solid (ice block), liquid (ordinary water) and gas (water
vapour).
4.
For Jesus to come down to the earth, He underwent
transformation into a lower self and became an ordinary human being.
5.
And at the end of His work, He was restored to His
original position, power and authority, as God the Almighty Father.
Jesus Prays For His
Disciples
… "I pray for
them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You
have given Me, for they are Yours… John 17:6-19
1.
Everybody shall give account of the work assigned to
him.
2.
The prayers of Jesus showed how Saints should depart
from the midst of the people of God.
3.
Jesus was busy pointing out future problems and
providing solutions, and praying for the unity of faith.
Jesus Prays for All
Believers
"I do not pray
for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me
through their word; John 17:20
1.
What God wants from humanity is not the multiplicity of
religions or diversities of churches, ministries and fellowships.
2.
God wants simple obedience and unity – one flock and
one shepherd.
3.
All ministers of God should return to the Everlasting
Covenant of God, from which they have deviated, because God does not change.
4.
God wants unity, and not divisions.
5.
It is time for one church and one God; one flock and
one shepherd; one ministry, one name and the same method of worship, all over
the world.
